Palestinians fire at least 80 rockets at Southern Israel
Can any American even come close to comprehending what it would be like to live with rockets raining down in your neighborhoods, at your schools, and in your streets on a daily basis? Imagine what our government would be willing to do if 80 rockets were launched at a town in Southern Texas or California. I’m sure the liberals in those towns wouldn’t be protesting in favor of the poor, oppressed terrorists that lobbed the deadly rockets at their homes. Yet, Israel is always cast as the villain for the very measured, and restrained retaliation they take against the terrorists, even as they carefully avoid civilian casualties.
The world is upside down, and I have a feeling God is going to give us a good slap up side the head soon to remind us what reality is, and who runs the show.
Palestinian terrorists fired at least 80 rockets from Gaza into southern Israel since Friday night, leaving eight Israelis injured in the heaviest series of attacks in months. The barrages came in response to an IAF strike which killed the secretary general of the Popular Resistance Committees, Zuhair Qaisi.
The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted at least five rockets fired from the Gaza Strip at Beersheba and Ashdod early Saturday morning. In total, at least ten rockets have been intercepted by the system since the beginning of the escalation on Friday.
The IAF struck targets in Gaza overnight Friday and Saturday morning in response to the rocket attacks. Twelve Palestinians – 10 of them members of Islamic Jihad – were killed in the strikes and another 20 were injured, according to Palestinian news agency Ma’an.
The escalation in violence in Israel and around the world makes me wonder how much of the chaos is being instigated by Islamists in preparation for the return of the 12th Imam. For several years, prominent Islamic leaders have been predicting that 2012 will be the year that the Mahdi returns. According to Islamic theology, he can’t be revealed until Islamic countries have unleashed a sufficient amount of chaos, war, and bloodshed around the world. In other worlds, things are going to are going to get far worse everywhere, as we near the elections, and the year 2012.
If they have any strategic sense whatsoever, they’ll make their move wile the coward in chief is still in office. Let’s hope they’re as dumb as they act.
