Recall of Christian Board Trustee Falls Short
A Christian board trustee who refused to adopt a pro-homosexual non-discrimination policy for her Southern California school district has survived a union-financed recall effort.
Westminster School Board member Judy Ahrens found herself the target of a recall after she and two other trustees rejected a California law that requires school districts to allow students to define their own “perceived” gender, regardless of physical anatomy. However, organizers failed to collect the 7,200 signatures needed to get the recall initiative on the November 2 ballot.
