Temple University Sued for Retaliation Against Guardsman

Filed under: — Ben Rast @ 2:52 pm

Temple University in Pennsylvania is being sued for some outrageous retaliatry and discriminatory acts taken against a student who is a sergeant in the National Guard. Sgt. Christian DeJohn was a graduate student at Temple when his unit was activated and deployed to Bosnia. While in Bosnia, he clashed with Temple professors who sent him anti-war emails. After returning home, he found out that he had been expelled from Temple as a result of these ideological clashes. DeJohn, who had an outstanding student record, fought for and won readmission to the university. After being readmitted though, his master’s thesis was flunked. Temple University then falsely reported him as being delinquient on student loans. The Alliance Defense Fund has filed suit against Temple University to right this wrong. Sgt DeJohn’s major crime is being a serviceman and responding to anti-war professors. Considering the liberal bias rampant in academia, this doesn’t surprise me. I hope and pray that the courts hold Temple liable for their actions.
