UN Ceremony Includes Map of ´Palestine´ in Place of Israel

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:44 am

Reason number 258,253,912,253 to get rid of the U.N. The “Road Map to Peace” doesn’t mean much when the global body representing the people who are supposed to oversee the progress of the roadmap does this. Apparently, the U.N. agrees with Iran that Israel should be wiped off the map. At least we now have John Bolton there pointing out the insanity involved in most U.N. decisions.

The United Nations held a “Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” last week. A large map of “Palestine,” with Israel literally wiped off the map, featured prominently in the festivities.

The ceremony was held at the UN headquarters in New York and was attended by Secretary General Kofi Annan and the Presidents of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly.

During the festivities, a map labeled a “map of Palestine” was displayed prominently between UN and PLO flags. The map, with “Palestine” written in Arabic atop it, does not include Israel, a member of the UN for 56 years. The map does not even demarcate the partition lines of November 29, 1947, marking a Jewish state alongside an Arab state. The partition was dictated by the UN General Assembly itself.

What do you expect from a group who can’t come up with a definition for terrorism, and won’t condemn a Palestinian suicide bombing that slaughtered several Jews while they were doing their shopping?

Washington’s ambassador to the United Nations has criticized the Security Council for failing to condemn the latest terrorist attack in Israel.

The envoy singled out Algeria for blocking a U.S. drafted statement.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton issued a statement Tuesday unequivocally condemning the bomb attack in the Israeli town of Netanya that killed at least five people. The unusual action came after a U.S. attempt to have the statement issued by the Security Council was rejected.

Diplomats attending the meeting say several Council members raised concerns about language in the U.S.-drafted document. Ambassador Bolton, however, blamed Algeria for quashing the measure by objecting to a passage urging Syria to close offices of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which claims responsibility for the attack. “Other governments had questions about particular language. We were perfectly prepared to engage in discussions about constructive suggestions, but Algeria categorically refused to name Syria and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad,” he said.

The U.S. envoy later read the text of the statement to reporters, and lashed out at the Council for what he called “failing to speak the truth”.

He said “you have to speak up in response to these terrorist attacks. It’s a great shame that the Security Council couldn’t speak to this terrorist attack in Netanya, but if the Council won’t speak, the United States will.”

Thank goodness Bolton is over there. Well let’s see, the Arabs hate Israel, the U.N. hates Israel, Europe hates Israel…
Isn’t here something in the Bible about what happens to people who hate God’s choosen people?? ;-)

Well, the translation from Hebrew to English isn’t exact, but I think “splat!” sums it up! :) It’s kind of amazing. Didn’t take much more than 50 years for anti-semitism to be fashionable again!

    3. Doc Says:

Remember, though: Getting on the UN about being a bunch of anti-Semitic racists and religious bigots is like getting on a cat about being a mouse-chaser.

It’s the nature of evil empires that ignore or defy God.
