From patriotic citizens to anti-war cowards

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:10 am

There was a time when our schools and universities were filled with students who loved their country, supported the military that defended their rights, and were actually willing to sacrifice something to help America win a war. Kids, wives, and mothers across the country did their part to raise money for the war effort and to keep the country running smoothly while our boys were overseas fighting a two world wars.

War supporters of time past

In October of 1944 these six young people represented all the students in Tacoma and Pierce County at an awards ceremony for the “Schools at War” war savings program. Each of the six groups of schools represented by the students received a special citation for exceeding both the national and state goals for student contributions to the war effort. During the previous year’s campaign, the students in Tacoma/Pierce County had raised an average of $38.13 per student to help finance the war.

Fast forward to 2005 and you’ll find something very different. Students and parents protest at our schools to block military recruiters from talking to the students, and spit and curse at the recruiters as if they were the enemy. Teachers don’t help organize fund raisers for the war now. They teach the students that America is evil and we’re fighting an illegal war, carefully withholding any information that might lead the students to recognize our terrorist enemies as the true threat.

You won’t see people celebrating victories as they’re reported from the frontlines to our media back home. You’ll only hear death counts, grim milestones, and doom and gloom news analysis. There are no reporters on the frontlines. They sit in their hotel room, read the AP and Reuters propaganda off the wires, and write about any rumor of poor conduct from our military, or signs the terrorists might be winning. If you go to an “anti-war”, lefty protest you’ll witness far more appalling things than this. It’s scary really. These terrorist supporting, hate-filled cowards will eventually be running for positions in our government. God help us if they get elected.

    Wait a minute…
I thought the libs just wanted separation of Church and State.
Now they want separation of State and State too??
Make up your minds, libs…you can’t have everything.

These Dem. blockheads have forgotten WW. II. I have NOT. I have vivid memories of the sacrifices of that war. If it wasn’t for the heroic actions of the great men of that era we would now be serving hitler and hirohito. It is about time we ALL stood up for our great country. It took great effort to build this Nation. God Bless America ………
