Independent Investigation: Democrats intimidate voters far more than GOP

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:17 am

Following the 2004 election, Democrats continued their whining that began with the 2000 election. They claimed voters were intimidated, the black vote was suppressed, and the Ohio win for Bush was stolen because lines were too long at the polls(they forget the elections board is made up of Democrats there), and more Republican intimidation and vote suppression affected the election. They demanded re-counts, re-votes, and an independent investigation to expose the evil practices of the GOP. In many cases they got their re-counts. In Washington state multiple re-counts and mysteriously appearing new ballots “won” the Governorship for a Democrat that most agree should have lost.

Now one of their other demands has been met. An independent investigation was done by the American Center for Voting Rights. That independent investigation found that Democrats are far more guilty of intimidation tactics and suppression campaigns against voters than Republicans. OOPS!! Democrats should have been more careful what they asked for. They should have read the local newspapers in Milwaukee (or the blogs) where voter suppression and intimidation by Democrats was big news (the MSM of course avoided it). Instead of sitting in grandma’s basement and ranting and raving on Democratic Underground messageboards about how disenfranchised they all were, they should have paid attention to the misleading phone calls and mailings being generated by their own party.

You would think something as big as widespread vote fraud and voter intimidation would be big news. Perhaps some arrests might be made in the cases where the perpetrators are known. Sadly, there won’t be any punishment for the operatives who committed these crimes, and the media won’t report this the way they would have if the GOP were found guilty. The Democratic party will hide from it, this investigation will fade into history, and the election fraud will continue. Democrats got what they wanted. The American public has lost confidence in our system of voting, and Democrats will be able to call every election they lose a stolen election. Everyone will remember the widespread problems, but most people will continue to believe the GOP is responsible because that’s what the media will tell them.

While Democrats routinely accuse Republicans of voter intimidation and suppression, neither party has a clean record on the issue. Instead, the evidence shows that Democrats waged aggressive intimidation and suppression campaigns against Republican voters and volunteers in 2004. Republicans have not been exempt from similar criticism in this area, as alleged voter intimidation and suppression activity by GOP operatives led the Republican National Committee to sign a consent decree repudiating such tactics in 1982. However, a careful review of the facts shows that in 2004, paid Democrat operatives were far more involved in voter intimidation and suppression efforts than their Republican counterparts. Examples include:

    * Paid Democrat operatives charged with slashing tires of 25 Republican get-out-the-vote vans in Milwaukee on the morning of Election Day.

    * Misleading telephone calls made by Democrat operatives targeting Republican voters in Ohio with the wrong date for the election and faulty polling place information.

    * Intimidating and deceiving mailings and telephone calls paid for by the DNC threatening Republican volunteers in Florida with legal action.

    * Union-coordinated intimidation and violence campaign targeting Republican campaign offices and volunteers resulting in a broken arm for a GOP volunteer in Florida.

It my opinion that the majority of the American public is too wrapped up in reality TV and sporting events that they do not care what is happening around them…as long as it doesn’t interrupt their reality TV or sporting event.
Doesn’t the Bible teach us something about being like that…??
