Top Occupy organizer trained Ferguson protesters

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:55 am

That explains a lot. Occupy Wall street was a huge flop, and the lead organizer of that nuisance trained the Ferguson rioters. This begs the question, why do you need to be trained to protest? Unless they aren’t really there to protest, but to rain anarchy down on innocent people. You might need some training on how to make a Molotov cocktail, or say, how to start a building on fire and get away without being caught. The idea was never to protest, in the true sense of the word. They were there to riot and they needed militia training.

In a development that may portend extended disruptions, veteran street organizer Lisa Fithian, previously dubbed “Professor Occupy,” recently trained Ferguson protesters how to “simulate chaos.”

Fithian is a legendary organizer who once announced she seeks to “create crisis, because crisis is that edge where change is possible.”

She was one of the luminaries of the Occupy Wall Street movement and was a lead organizer in the infamous 1999 Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization that descended into violence.

A professional rioter. Isn’t that special. I bet her mother is so proud.

Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson Resigns, Hopes “Resignation Will Allow The Community To Heal”

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 7:19 pm

This is really sad. He just got married, his wife is pregnant, and he has to resign from the only job he ever wanted. He hopes this will bring healing to the community, but, sadly, it won’t. The looters, bullies, and “protesters” don’t want healing. They want vengeance, violence, and revenge for something they know nothing about. Ferguson will end up a ghost town as people vote with their feet. They’ll move to a more decent and safer town where they don’t have to fear their businesses will burn down.

Unfortunately, Wilson would likely be putting his fellow officers in danger if he stayed, and his family in danger if they don’t move. I hope something good comes his way, and it all works out for the best for him and his family.

Days after Ferguson was torched by angry rioters following a grand jury verdict not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown, the policeman’s lawyer announced moments ago that he has resigned from the Ferguson, Mo., Police Department.

As ABC reports, Wilson has been on administrative leave since the shooting. One of his attorneys, Neil Bruntrager, said the resignation is effective immediately.

Though Wilson was cleared of criminal charges by the grand jury, the Justice Department is conducting a civil rights investigation into the shooting as well as a separate probe of police department practices. Wilson, who has been in seclusion since the fatal shooting, said this week in an interview with “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanolpoulos that he had gotten married since the Aug.9 shooting and that he and his new wife are expecting a baby.

Wilson’s resignation is unexpected because in that interview he announced that wanted to spend his career with the police force, and hoped to one day be promoted to sergeant. “I wanted to stay on the road for 30 years and then retire as sergeant and have a retirement,” Wilson said. “That’s all that I wanted.”

UN panel raps US record on torture

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:52 am

We’ve got Muslims beheading people, and burying them alive, and the UN is all worked up over US “torture”, to include police brutality, military interrogations, and prisons. I guess we should disband the police countrywide, not interrogate the beheading terrorists, and just let everyone go from our prisons. What a waste of time and money the U.N. is.

Police brutality, military interrogations and prisons were among the top concerns of a U.N. panel’s report Friday that found the United States to be falling short of full compliance with an international anti-torture treaty.

The report by the U.N. Committee Against Torture, its first such review of the U.S. record since 2006, expressed concerns about allegations of police brutality and excessive use of force by law enforcement officials, particularly the Chicago Police Department’s treatment of blacks and Latinos. It also called for restricting the use of taser weapons by police to life-threatening situations. But it had no specific recommendation or reaction to a grand jury’s decision not to indict the white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri who fatally shot a black and unarmed teenager.

What business is it of theirs whether we use tasers, guns, or nightsticks? Maybe they should move their circus somewhere more hospitable, say, like Sierra Leone.

    Pun control: China bans wordplay

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:28 am

China must be running out of things to ban. They’ve now banned any play on words in the media.

The Chinese language is filled with puns and other humorous wordplay, but the country’s print and broadcast watchdog does not believe it has a place in the newsroom.

The watchdog has panned wordplay for the media citing that it breaches the law on spoken and written Chinese and if they promote puns, it will make teaching China’s cultural heritage harder and could mislead the public, including children, The Guardian reports.

Those puns might make it harder to enforce group think, and maintain control of all thought by the government. What a great place to live.

KOBANI SURROUNDED? ISIS reportedly attacking town from Turkey

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:18 am

If Turkey ever was an ally, they certainly aren’t now. I guess the bigger question is, why aren’t we arming the Kurds to the teeth? They’re good fighters and could hold off Isil, if properly equipped. That might interrupt one of Obama’s golf games, though. I feel sorry for whoever our new Secretary of Defense ends up being.

The Islamic State group launched an attack Saturday on the Syrian border town of Kobani from Turkey, a Kurdish official and activists said, although Turkey denied that the fighters had used its territory for the raid.

The assault began when a suicide bomber driving an armored vehicle detonated his explosives on the border crossing between Kobani and Turkey, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and Nawaf Khalil, a spokesman for Syria’s powerful Kurdish Democratic Union Party.

The Islamic State group “used to attack the town from three sides,” Khalil said. “Today, they are attacking from four sides.”

S.F. protest turns ugly at Union Square

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:44 am

These thieving, brainless, bullies will turn America against the liberals yet. What the heck do people in San Fransisco have to riot about? Ferguson? It’s just an excuse to grab something from the stores they break into. Scum of the earth. They need to get a job and go to school. Do something with their lives besides destroy things and hate for the sake of hating.

A march for racial justice Friday night turned ugly as hundreds of protesters converged on Union Square and frightened crowds of shoppers by smashing windows and attacking police.

Shopkeepers lowered metal gates to protect their entries while shoppers with children dashed inside the giant Macy’s store and cowered behind locked doors. Some protesters broke shop windows and screamed at police, while others threw objects including bottles at officers.

Several families ran from the protest area while hundreds crowded behind police lines at Union Square’s ice rink. An activist spray painted “F T P” (F—The Police) on an Apple Store, watched by dozens of wide-eyed shoppers huddled inside.

On second thought, lock them all up for life. They’re a plague on humanity.

Inventor says his pills make farts smell like chocolate

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:18 am

Now this is what we need! It should be mandatory that everyone take these pills, including my dogs. The only down side I can see is people sniffing each others butts, or maybe a run on chocolate. But it would be worth it. You’d agree if you’d ever slept with my dogs in your bed.

Christian Poincheval was enjoying a meal out with friends six years ago when he had his eureka moment and the idea for a new product popped into his head.

What sparked his creativity? “After a hearty meal, we almost suffocated as our farts were smelly,” the French inventor says, per Mashable. “The winds were not very pleasant for our fellow diners. I had to do something.” Poincheval says he first visited a lab to investigate natural remedies for offending flatulence.

After months of experiments, he had his invention: a line of pills Poincheval says help digestion and turn flatulence into “perfume” using 100% natural ingredients, the Telegraph reports.

Available here, the pills under the name Lutin Malin—or “Crafty Imp” in English—come in rose and violet scents. And just in time for the holidays, the “Father Christmas” fart pill “gives your farts the scent of chocolate.” A jar of 60 pills, made from blueberries, seaweed, fennel, plant resin, and other ingredients, costs $12.50 and is the perfect Christmas gift for your smelly friends, Poincheval says.

Now that’s a gift that really says Merry Christmas.

White teen killed by black cop in Alabama mirrors Ferguson

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 8:49 am

This is the same exact situation that happened in Ferguson, only the colors are reversed. A black cop shot an unarmed, high white youth. So where are the screaming masses in Alabama? Why aren’t the stores burning to the ground in the town where this happened? You will see none of that, because so called “white Privilege” is just an excuse for minorities to rob and loot, and vent their anger. It’s just an excuse to be the victim and expect more from the government. It doesn’t exist. That, and the people of Alabama obviously have some morals and values that are nonexistent in Ferguson.

Gilbert Collar, a white, unarmed 18-year-old under the influence of drugs was shot and killed Oct. 6, 2012, by Officer Trevis Austin, who is black, in Mobile, Alabama. Despite public pressure for an indictment, a Mobile County grand jury refused to bring charges against Officer Austin, concluding that the officer acted in self-defense.

Veterans Slam Obama’s Leadership On Iraq (or lack thereof)

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:17 pm

I’m glad the veterans are speaking out. I can’t imagine how it must feel to watch your buddies die in action taking territory, only to have the next President pull all the troops out and hand that territory over to even worse terrorists. It makes ME mad as heck, it has to enrage them.

Veterans Day has come and gone, but the Media Research Center’s Dan Joseph had just one question to ask the Iraq War veterans: How do they feel about the Obama administration’s decision to pull all combat troops out of Iraq. In short, they weren’t pleased at all.

One veteran called the president a “moron,” and that his friends who died over there would be rolling in their graves over Obama’s decision to withdraw from Iraq and end combat operations.

Others also voiced their opposition to the decision, noting that there’s a reason why civilian control of the military comes with military advisers who have made careers serving their country and have decades of experience in this field; they’re there to help guide the president in making military decisions.

Another veteran said it’s a bad move to go in and help a county, only to turn around and bail on them.

With the rise of ISIS in the region, it’s hard to disagree with their sentiments.

Pentagon prepares for more detainee releases from Guantanamo Bay

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:33 am

I guess we don’t have enough terrorists to deal with, especially with ISIL spreading into Africa. Let’s release some more to go back to the fight. Obama is determined to close Guantanamo before his last term in office is over, no matter what the cost to our soldiers, the Iraqis, Syrians, Africans, and other Middle Eastern countries.

The Pentagon is preparing to transfer more detainees from Guantanamo Bay in coming weeks despite continued Republican opposition, according to defense and congressional officials.

The Wall Street Journal reports that, after five detainees were transferred last week, there will be another round in December, but defense officials refused to disclose further information on their numbers or nationalities.

Rep. Howard McKeon, R-Calif, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, complained at a recent hearing of an increase in notifications by the administration to lawmakers on coming transfers from the detainment facility.

FDA to weigh lifting ban on gay men donating blood

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:24 am

Great! Ebola and Obamacare weren’t bad enough. Let’s spread HIV far and wide. If you have the option, always give autologous blood before you have a surgery done. If they start letting gay men donate blood, it will be especially important.

Advisors for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will meet next week to discuss lifting a 30-year-old ban that prohibits gay men from donating blood.

Long-time critics of the ban, including some members of Congress, say the Dec. 2 meeting is a step in the right direction.

“We’ve got the ball rolling. I feel like this is a tide-turning vote,” Ryan James Yessak, an LGBT activist who founded the National Gay Blood Drive and will speak at before the Blood Products Advisory Committee, told The Hill. “There’s been a lot of feet dragging and I think they’re realizing it now.”

The ban was enacted in 1983 during the national AIDS epidemic, and last updated in 1992. The committee will hear scientific data and an update from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Advisory Committee on blood and tissue safety, according to the FDA website.

So, I guess they want to start a new AIDS epidemic. Idiots.

2 Women Fight At Norwalk Walmart Over Barbie Doll

Black Friday has got to be one of the dumbest days of the year. Do these people not realize how ignorant they look to normal people.

Authorities said two women got into a pushing and shoving match — with at least one of them reportedly throwing a punch — over a Barbie doll on Thanksgiving evening.

Sheriff’s Deputies has to be called to the Walmart store in the 11700 block of Imperial Highway after reports of the fight broke out.

Witnesses said the two women began fighting over a Barbie doll just before 7 p.m.

Deputies were able to diffuse the situation and said no one was arrested.

Officials also said no one was injured in the altercation.

“The whole thing was pretty stupid,” said a shopper named Sonia, “that was very dumb.”

Sonia may have been the only sane person there, besides the authorities. The two women should be thrown in the town jail for being a public nuisance.

Tensions flare between Senate Democrats, White House

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:03 am

Obama can’t even get the support of his own people on the Hill. Power is everything to these people, and party no longer matters when one branch of government is trying to take away the other’s power. For once the Senate Democrats are following the constitution, albeit for greedy, power hungry reasons. The Democrats also find themselves in a growing dilemma with their constituents being totally at odds with Obama’s agenda, especially on the Keystone Pipeline. Do they represent their constituents, or do they support their President? They’ll inevitably make the wrong decision. The people no longer have the power in this country, sadly.

Criticism of President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law by a top Senate Democrat this week laid bare post-election tensions that could pose challenges for the party in upcoming fights with Republicans over taxes, energy and immigration.

In a high-profile speech on Tuesday dissecting Democrats’ losses in this month’s midterm elections, Charles Schumer, the No. 3 Senate Democrat, listed “a cascade of issues” botched by the White House, starting with Obama’s push for healthcare reforms soon after he took office in 2009.

Later on Tuesday, the White House took the unusual step of publicly pledging to veto a deal on tax breaks that Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid was trying to hammer out with Republicans in the House of Representatives.

“There is clearly a lot of unhappiness and a lot of mistrust that exists between the president and his congressional party,” said Ross Baker, political scientist at Rutgers University.

Democrats will cede control of the Senate to Republicans in the New Year after heavy losses in the Nov. 4 elections that also gave the Republicans an increased majority in the House.

Obama, whose low approval ratings were seen as a drag on his party in the elections, may see support waver from some Democrats on an energy issue – the proposed Keystone XL pipeline to carry oil from Canada’s oil sands to be processed on the U.S. Gulf Coast. Democrats in states where voters want pipeline will face a dilemma over whether to break ranks with Obama and back Republican legislation aimed at forcing the project through.

Republicans will also try to thwart the executive action on immigration that Obama announced last week and that grants temporary relief from deportation for millions of immigrants who are living in the United States without the right papers.

Several Democratic senators have been critical of Obama for taking executive action rather than letting Congress take the lead on the issue. If six or seven joined Republicans, they could block Obama’s action, forcing a veto.

Israeli FM says Arab citizens should be paid to relocate to future Palestinian state

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:35 am

I seriously doubt this would work, or produce much of a result at all. Killing Jews and taking their land is far too important to the Palestinians. More important than money. They’d rather die themselves, if they could take some Jews with them. People like that don’t listen to reason, or ever compromise.

Israel’s hard-line foreign minister says he supports paying Arab citizens to leave the country.

In a manifesto of his Yisrael Beitenu party published Friday, Avigdor Lieberman says he favors ceding Arab majority areas in northern Israel to a future Palestinian state and providing economic incentives for Arab-Israelis — about 20 percent of Israel’s population — to encourage them to emigrate.

The manifesto does not set out positions on the most difficult issues in the Israel-Palestinian conflict, including the status of Jerusalem and Israel’s borders.

The reason the manifesto doesn’t tackle the issue of Israel’s borders is because the two state agreement would leave Israel defenseless in large areas of the country, with borders only 12 miles wide in places. It would be a recipe for disaster. A two state solution will never work, unless the Israeli’s are willing to just give up and leave themselves vulnerable to attack from all sides.

Cop at center of Ferguson case to leave force

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:24 am

It’s sad that Mr. Wilson’s life had to be turned upside down because of racism. Black on white racism, that is. He’ll have to go into hiding, as I’m sure there are many threats on his and his family’s life. He’ll have to find a new line of work and a new place to live, since the media was kind enough to publish his address. Perhaps he’ll be better off getting out of that hell hole, and just leaving the racists to kill each other and burn down their town. They deserve what they give themselves.

The Missouri police officer who killed an unarmed black teen sparking months of protests in the city of Ferguson will never return to policing, his lawyer said.

Darren Wilson is currently in discussions with the Ferguson, Missouri police department on the terms and conditions of his departure, attorney Neil Bruntrager said this week.

“There’s no way in the world he can go back to being a police officer,” the lawyer said.

“It’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when,” Bruntrager said of Wilson’s departure.

Restaurant-goers in Singapore can expect to be served by autonomous flying robots – the world’s first commercial attempt – by the end of next year.

Infinium-Serve, the autonomous flying robotic waiters, will be first launched at one of Timbre Group’s five outlets in Singapore. Infinium Robotics CEO Woon Junyang estimated the project to cost a “low seven-figure sum” for the five outlets, subject to final negotiations and certain variables of the actual deployment of the robots.

‘Off switch’ for pain discovered: Activating the adenosine A3 receptor subtype is key to powerful pain relief

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:56 am

As a chronic pain sufferer, this is exciting news to me. Right now I have a pain pump in my stomach that delivers opioids into my spinal column through a catheter to control (somewhat) my pain. What I wouldn’t give to just have the pain turned off, and not have to get my pain pump filled up every three months with a giant needle. I will research this and keep up on it, and report anything else I find. There are a lot of us out there with chronic pain that could benefit from this. Just a second thought….I wonder if you would still feel pain if you put your hand on a hot burner? A down side perhaps.

In research published in the medical journal Brain, Saint Louis University researcher Daniela Salvemini, Ph.D. and colleagues within SLU, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other academic institutions have discovered a way to block a pain pathway in animal models of chronic neuropathic pain including pain caused by chemotherapeutic agents and bone cancer pain suggesting a promising new approach to pain relief.

The scientific efforts led by Salvemini, who is professor of pharmacological and physiological sciences at SLU, demonstrated that turning on a receptor in the brain and spinal cord counteracts chronic nerve pain in male and female rodents. Activating the A3 receptor — either by its native chemical stimulator, the small molecule adenosine, or by powerful synthetic small molecule drugs invented at the NIH — prevents or reverses pain that develops slowly from nerve damage without causing analgesic tolerance or intrinsic reward (unlike opioids).

OPEC Policy Ensures U.S. Shale Crash, Russian Tycoon Says

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:43 am

We need to produce MORE oil. More from shale, more from the pipeline Obama so hates, more from Alaska. We need multiple sources of oil so that OPEC can’t target us. Put OPEC out of business. We aren’t over a barrel here. We have plenty of resources to become completely independent of our oil overlords. We just need the right President to get in there and do it.

OPEC policy on crude production will ensure a crash in the U.S. shale industry, a Russian oil tycoon said.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries kept output targets unchanged at a meeting in Vienna today even after this year’s slump in the oil price caused by surging supply from U.S shale fields.

American producers risk becoming victims of their own success. At today’s prices of just over $70 a barrel, drilling is close to becoming unprofitable for some explorers, Leonid Fedun, vice president and board member at OAO Lukoil (LKOD), said in an interview in London.

“In 2016, when OPEC completes this objective of cleaning up the American marginal market, the oil price will start growing again,” said Fedun, who’s made a fortune of more than $4 billion in the oil business, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. “The shale boom is on a par with the dot-com boom. The strong players will remain, the weak ones will vanish.”

What complete and utter cowards. How does attacking a little old man on oxygen bring justice to Michael Brown. He got justice, and this poor old man had nothing to do with it. What are the sick thugs going to do when everyone leaves, businesses shut down, and the only ones left are the scum of the earth. They’ll do what Muslims do – start killing each other. And, they’ll have to travel a distance to get anything, all of which they deserve. I hope these maggots get some jail time for this.

While businesses burned to the ground and black mobs ran wild through the streets of Ferguson, Missouri, on Monday night, an elderly white man, dependent on oxygen to breathe, strolled out to his car in the parking lot of a pizza joint to retrieve an oxygen tank from his car.

Moments later, he was brutally attacked by marauding thugs “seeking justice” for Mike Brown.

A TV news crew looking to capture scenes of the protesters’ carnage along a main thoroughfare in town, Florissant Road, drove up to Faraci Pizza before emergency crews arrived and videotaped the victim lying crumpled on the pavement, his oxygen tank perched across his body.

Islamic Threat to UK Greater than Ever

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 12:56 pm

This is what happens when you let immigration get out of control. It isn’t just Mexicans coming across our southern border, and ISIL has warned us repeatedly they are coming to our shores. It won’t be long before Homeland Security is distributing leaflets like these, warning Americans what to do in case of a terrorist attack or suspicious activity. It’s no way to live, and it’s totally senseless. It doesn’t have to get to that point, if we would just seal our southern border and enforce our visa laws.

The image above is that of a leaflet which – as part of Counter Terrorism Awareness Week – was distributed yesterday by the police at railway stations around the UK to guard people against a possible Mumbai-style attack that security forces are expecting may be attempted by Muslim extremists.

The leaflets tell the public to “run, hide and tell” in the event of such an attack.

They are part of a campaign just launched by Chief Constable of British Transport Police (BTP) Paul Crowther, who said: “More than six million people travel on our railways every single day.”

He added: “Earlier this month a man was sentenced for terrorism offences after being caught in possession of information about how to make bombs.

“This was as a direct result of a rail passenger reporting suspicions to train staff. We need others to follow suit and play their part in keeping the UK’s transport systems safe from terrorists.”

Report: Waqf Building Illegally on Temple Mount—Again

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 12:29 pm

The Waqf has been doing construction around the temple mount for years, ostensibly to add on to the mosque. It’s been known for a long time, however, that what they’re really doing is trying to rid the Temple Mount of all evidence that the Israeli’s actually had, and still have rights to the Mount. Valuable artifacts have been destroyed and buried to hide this fact. If they didn’t get permits for this new venture, you can bet they’re up to their old tricks. It’s a shame that the true history of the Temple Mount can’t be known by excavating properly these precious archeological finds.

The Jordanian Waqf continues to build illegally on the Temple Mount, photos leaked to Arutz Sheva revealed Wednesday.

The photos, which were taken by a visitor to the Mount, show what appears to be new construction, under a tarp, in the northeast corner of the Mount.

To clarify whether the Waqf has the license to build on the Mount—and what ramifications there may be if it does not—Arutz Sheva spoke to architect Gideon Charlap, who turned to the licensing and inspection bureau in Jerusalem “to address urgently the building violations and illegal construction on the Temple Mount,” as he put it.

Charlap makes it clear that the pictures shows that the “Waqf is building without a permit from anyone,” and added that its official statements claiming that generators added to the site were provided by the Jordanian King are false. …

Defense Secretary pick will be a challenge for Obama

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:48 am

With the mess in the Middle East, namely ISIL, and the problems with Russia, Obama is going to be hard pressed to find someone willing to take the job of Defense Secretary. They won’t want it for the same reasons Hagel is resigning. It’s all politics and the military is being run by the politicians just like in Vietnam. There won’t be any way to change that, which means the new Secretary would be inheriting a probable defeat in Iraq, a mess in Syria, a mess in the Palestinian territories, a nuclear Iran, and a President who is out to lunch. No one in their right mind would want that job, especially with the huge military budget cuts to make things even more difficult.

The Defense Secretary job opening is emerging as a thanks-but-no-thanks opportunity, as some of the top potential prospects have already said they’re not interested in the job.

Within minutes of reports Monday that Secretary Chuck Hagel would resign, the names of Michele Flournoy and Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed emerged as top prospects.

But each made clear by the end of the day that they didn’t want the coveted but high-wire, Cabinet-level post.

The new secretary would indeed step into a difficult and complicated world, with the emergence of the deadly and unpredictable militant group Islamic State, amid Defense Department cuts.

Protestors torched Michael Brown family’s church during Monday night’s Ferguson protests as pastor blames white supremacists

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 8:15 am

The pastor of their church should be laying the blame squarely on Michael George’s father. He’s a member of the Bloods gang to begin with, and after the verdict was read, it was him shouting “burn the bitch down” at the top of his lungs. Some of his gang homies probably heard the call and burned the church down.

The Missouri church attended by Michael Brown’s father and his family was one of a dozen or so buildings burned to the ground during Monday night’s protests in the wake of a grand jury’s decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson.

While the majority of the buildings destroyed on Monday were in downtown Ferguson, the Flood Christian Church is located some three miles away from the protests in a remote section of Country Club Hills.

Pastor Carlton Lee, who has been a vocal advocate for the Browns since their son was shot in August, has said he believes that white supremacists rather than protesters were to blame for the destruction.

Dem fundraiser charged with child sex abuse met Obama often, flew on Air Force One

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 5:30 am

What is that saying about being able to judge a man by the friends he keeps?

A prominent gay rights activist charged last week with sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy is a strong supporter of President Obama who has visited the White House more than a half-dozen times in the past two years, visitor logs show.

Terrence P. Bean, 66, who raised more than a half-million dollars for Mr. Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012, last visited the White House on May 30 when he met with the president, first lady Michelle Obama and political adviser David Simas.

White House visitor logs show that Mr. Bean, co-founder of the Human Rights Campaign, a leading gay rights group, also has visited the White House on at least six other occasions since June 2012. On one visit in 2013, Mr. Bean brought along Kiah Lawson, described in news reports as his ex-boyfriend, who is also charged with sexually assaulting the juvenile.

Authorities in Oregon charged Mr. Bean and Mr. Lawson last week with two counts of third-degree sodomy and one charge of third-degree sex abuse after his indictment by a Lane County grand jury indictment. Mr. Lawson, 25, was charged with two counts of third-degree sodomy and with third-degree sex abuse.

The White House had no comment on whether the president still considers Mr. Bean an ally. Some observers have credited Mr. Bean for helping to sway Mr. Obama into supporting same-sex marriage two years ago.

Source: Billy Joel says Obama invited him for a smoke at White House

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 3:11 pm

Uhoh, someone got caught. So that is nicotine gum he’s always chewing. Hey, Michelle, why do our kids have to eat pig feed at school, but it’s okay for your husband to smoke up a storm and lie about it? So much for the big health craze from the Obama’s. Hypocrites.

President Obama, who said in 2009 that he had mostly kicked his cigarette habit, invited Billy Joel to have a smoke at the White House during a recent visit.

An ITK spy was sitting down at the bar at The Jefferson Hotel in downtown Washington last week when in walked The Piano Man himself.

Joel had received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song earlier that evening at a star-studded gala at DAR Constitution Hall. With “no entourage” around, our source — who counts themselves among Joel’s “biggest fans” — struck up a conversation with the “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” singer.

Joel described the day’s events, mentioning that he went over to Capitol Hill to Rep. John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) office. Our tipster says that Joel recalled the Speaker, well-known for his nicotine habit, opened up a drawer, then “pulled out a pack of cigarettes and offered me one. And I said, ‘No thanks, I quit.’ ”

Then, Joel remembered another tobacco offer from a high-profile politician. According to our tipster, the 65-year-old entertainer said, “I was at the White House recently, and President Obama did the same thing. He said, ‘I’m going out on the North Portico to have a smoke. Do you want to come with me?”

Joel said he replied, “Well, I haven’t smoked in a long time,” but indicated that he ultimately couldn’t turn down a cigarette offer from the president.

Body Found Shot to Death, Set Fire Near Apartment Complex Where Michael Brown Died

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 2:42 pm

Where’s the outrage about this death? Oh, wait, there won’t be any, and Al Sharpton won’t be showing up, because it was likely black on black violence and that doesn’t count. It only matters if I white person shoots a black person. Then that’s automatically racist and you have to burn the place down and kill people. I hope all the decent people in Ferguson get smart and move. Leave the animals to kill each other.

The body of a black male was reportedly found near Canfield Green Apartments in Ferguson, the same complex where Michael Brown was fatally shot by officer Darren Wilson during an altercation Aug. 9.

KTVI-TV reports that the man, in his 20s, was shot to death and set on fire. KMOX has sent a reporter to the scene.

Michael Brown’s father changes tune after verdict is read

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 2:22 pm

All the talk from the parents of Michael Brown about wanting people to demonstrate peacefully were a pack of lies. After the verdict was read, Brown’s father was heard telling everyone to “burn this b**** down”. And they did exactly what he told them to. The business owners in Ferguson were totally innocent in the whole affair, yet they are suffering the worst. I hope it makes their black, evil souls feel better that they ruined the lives of many of their fellow citizens. Sick, sick people.

Michael Brown’s stepfather last night repeatedly urged protesters to “Burn this bitch down” after a prosecutor announced that no criminal charges would be filed against the Ferguson, Missouri police officer who killed the unarmed teenager.

Louis Head, an ex-con who is married to Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, was with McSpadden outside the Ferguson Police Department headquarters Monday evening as prosecutor Robert McCulloch disclosed that a grand jury declined to vote an indictment against Officer Darren Wilson in the August 9 shooting.

After consoling a weeping McSpadden, the 38-year-old Head–who was standing atop a platform in the middle of the agitated crowd of several hundred protesters–began screaming “Burn this bitch down!” He did this at least ten times, and at one point yelled for a microphone so that he could broadcast his incendiary message beyond the range of his unamplified voice…..

Those who swarmed the courthouse steps chanted “You didn’t indict. We shall fight.”

Children tweet pictures of their horrid school lunches

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 4:54 pm

Hahaha! Michelle Obama is hated by kids across the country for their “gross school lunches”. Kids are actually taking pictures of the pig feed they’re being given and posting them on twitter using #ThanksMichelleObama as the hashtag. I can just imagine children having contests for the grossest meals.

This is what happens when the government gets involved in what should be the parents job. I remember when I was a kid, we had a whole food court with several options like you would see at a mall. It kept the kids on campus and made sure they were well fed before they engaged in sports and the busy life of being a kid. Obama’s puke trays are not better. They’re leaving the kids starving when they get home, and undernourished for after school activities. It’s also teaching our children that the government should do everything for you, including tell you what to eat. They need to butt out and let the local school districts handle it.

Ice to close upper Mississippi from November 20, earliest on record

Darn that globull warming, also known as “the next ice age”. The shipping season on the upper Mississippi River will end on Thursday due to ice surrounding locks and dams near Minnesota’s Twin Cities. The ice has forced the earliest winter closure on record since 1969. Algore should probably arrange a global warming summit in Mississippi immediately. After all, it’s just weather when it’s cold. It’s only climate when it’s hot.

Police, fire, and EMS staging in Clayton, MO

It’s being reported that Police, fire, and EMS crews are staging right now in Clayton, 12 miles from Ferguson, where the Grand Jury is being held in the Michael Brown shooting case. We may be getting a verdict soon from the Grand Jury. Pray for the decent people of Clayton, Ferguson, and St. Louis. Especially, the businesses that the outsider mobs will surely try to burn down and loot. I hope they’re as prepared as they say they are. Gun sales are through the roof there, so at least the normal people are protecting themselves.

Iman Attacked by Fellow Muslims After Condemning Har Nof Massacre

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:10 am

I guess it’s not popular to condemn bloody massacres when those massacres are perpetrated by fellow Muslims. I applaud this Imam for speaking out and trying to bring peace instead of bombs and bloody attacks on Synagogues.

Sheikh Samir Aasi, Imam of the main mosque in the city of Akko (in above photo: front row, third from left), openly condemned the massacre that took place last week in a Har Nof synagogue. This terror attack was perpetuated by two Palestinian men, who entered during morning prayers and shot worshipers dead as well as stabbed them with meat cleavers.

Aasi made the trip from Akko to Har Nof to participate in a pluralistic faith assembly attended by clergy from all of Israel’s faiths. The assembly was held in the synagogue where the attack took place. Aasi spoke there, saying “I come here today to condemn this terrible act, which crossed all lines. The time has come that people of faith must ask themselves, how have we gotten to this point?”

“I specifically made that trip to send a message to extremists,” Aasi explained to Tazpit News Agency. “There is a red line, and it is absolutely and utterly forbidden to cross – holy places are holy places, and you cannot attack holy places, no matter what.”

On Thursday, after his trip, his car was attacked with acid. “Every religion has its extremists”, Aasi asserted. “I was attacked because of what I stand for. These extremists don’t want relations between religions.”

‘But they are wrong, because attacks like this only make our resolve to continue working for peace and relations between our religions stronger.”

Sheikh Aasi has reason to believe Muslim extremists want to stop him, as he has been working for a long time alongside Akko’s Chief Rabbi Yosef Yashar to promote peace and understanding between Akko’s residents. Akko is a mixed city of 46,300 people, with Jews making up two thirds of the population and Arabs comprising a quarter of the city’s residents.

Chief Rabbi Yashar told Tazpit News Agency, “Akko is a mixed city, and [Sheikh Aasi and I] work together so that all who live here should live in peace. We are great friends.”

“Sheikh Aasi was my guest in my Sukkah this past chag Sukkot, to show everyone what a “Sukkat Shalom” is,” Rabbi Yashar added.

Rabbi Yashar and Sheikh Aasi regularly visit schools, both Jewish and Arab, across Akko to teach the students about both religions, and to promote understanding on both sides about their neighbors. “We discuss stories from both religions with the students, in order to teach both perspectives and help students understand their neighbors,” Imam Aasi said. “Thank G-d, Akko has wonderful leaders in all its religious institutions who work for peace.”

This is not the first time Muslim extremists have attacked people who work to promote peace amongst Jews and Muslims, or between Palestinians and Israelis. Mohammad Zoabi, the teenaged cousin of Arab member of Knesset Haneen Zoabi, was forced into hiding over the summer after his life was threatened by Arabs unhappy with his pro-Israel activism.

Second Temple Era Military Outpost Discovered, Possibly Destroyed By Alexander the Great

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:55 am

When they find Persian artifacts, it’s published in the news as a great find. When they find Jewish temple era artifacts, they’re destroyed and burried in huge holes by the Palestinians. There is plenty of evidence of Israel’s right to the Temple Mount, hence all the construction going on under the dome of the rock. They say they’re adding onto the mosque, but the buried artifacts prove the lie in that assertion.

Archaeological excavations in Netiv Haasarah have uncovered a Persian era military installation. Netiv Haasarah is a town in the “Gaza envelope” with a population of about 700. The dig, being headed by Dr. Yael Abadi Rice, found a fortified town and a military tower, from approximately 2,100 years ago. This time period was when the Second Temple was standing in Jerusalem. “It seems this was a military outpost”, Dr. Rice told Tazpit News Agency. “Besides for the army stationed there, people were sent there to work the area on the road from Ashkelon to Gaza.”

Obama to Congress: Pass a bill, or else I’ll keep passing my own

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 6:39 pm

Who does this guy think he is?! Twenty five times, when he was running for reelection, he stated he didn’t have the authority to pass legislation without a bill from Congress. Now all of the sudden we’re living under a freaking Monarchy. If he continues this, something has to be done. At this point I think articles of impeachment in January is the way to go. We can’t have two years of him running this country like a dictatorship.

President Obama on Thursday defended the actions he’s taking to shield about 5 million immigrants in the U.S. illegally from deportation as “lawful” and consistent with what his predecessors have done.

“I continue to believe that the best way to solve this problem is by working together to pass that kind of common sense law,” the president said. “But until that happens, there are actions I have the legal authority to take as President – the same kinds of actions taken by Democratic and Republican presidents before me – that will help make our immigration system more fair and more just.”

“The actions I’m taking are not only lawful, they’re the kinds of actions taken by every single Republican president and every single Democratic president for the past half century,” Mr. Obama added.

That’s a baldfaced lie, and he knows it. Previous Presidents had bills from Congress and the support of Congress. They used executive orders the way they are supposed to be used, not by bypassing Congress completely. I can’t stand this guy.

After Obama’s immigration announcement, Dems challenge GOP to respond

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:49 am

Maybe the Republicans who recommend ignoring Obama’s Illegal acts until they actually have the majority are right. The Democrats want a big fight. They want Republicans to fight back so they can blame them for all of it. Right now Obama is standing alone. He alone did the act, and he alone will suffer the repercussions, unless they can goad the Republicans into looking mean and heartless. It’s the Alinsky playbook. If the Republican base can just hold their pants on until we actually have some authority to kick the king of his throne, we may fair much better. Let Obama take the heat. What he did is unpopular and it’s only going to get more so as Mexicans take jobs from minorities and other Americans that should have gotten them. This time may be the time to not let them use us as a scapegoat.

As Republicans challenge the legality of President Obama’s unilateral action on immigration, Democrats are firing back with a challenge of their own.

“It is clear that they can complain, they can threaten, they can talk about lawsuits, cutting off funding, shutting down the government, in the extreme, even impeachment. But the real question is: Can they govern? Can they govern?” asked Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday.

The GOP is weighing their options to undo the president’s moves – “a bit of a threat to our democracy,” as House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said in a separate interview. But Democrats say their real focus should be on passing their own legislation, something they have been urging Republicans to do since the Senate passed a bipartisan immigration reform bill in 2013.

“They have 180 days, starting January 1st, before the first person applies for a work permit under the president’s executive authority. What I’d say to them, roll up your sleeves,” said Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Illinois, who sparred with Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, in another interview on the topic on “Face the Nation.” “You were sent to Washington to govern; you have a majority in the Senate, you have a majority in the House, and I am ready to sit down with my colleague and fix the problems that America is confronting.”

Bring it on libtards. This time our GOP’s pension for sitting back and doing nothing leaves you holding the bag.

3 Deputies Hospitalized From Exposure To Marijuana Fumes In LA

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:50 am

Marijuana isn’t dangerous. Nahhhhh. They all just went to the hospital because they had a serious case of the munchies. It’s a good thing the cops got a warrant and went in there. Who knows what could have happened to the pothead that lived there.

Three sheriff’s deputies were recovering Sunday after going into a home that had a small marijuana farm inside.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were sent around 9:30 p.m. Saturday to a home located in the 36000 block of Sierra Highway to serve a warrant.

Once on scene, deputies were exposed to numerous chemicals and open flames inside of the small grow room.

Firefighters explained the deputies, along with a woman who lived at the residence, were overcome by fumes and became ill.

Officials said two of the deputies have already been treated and released from the hospital.

The third deputy remains hospitalized for treatment of respiratory problems.

The female resident was transported to a hospital last night, but it was unclear if she has been released yet.

She will not face criminal charges, deputies explained.

Send three cops to the hospital and get off scott free. Gotta love the new marijuana laws.
