Gingrich: Anti-Christian Spring Is Coming (Blasts Muslim Student Lawsuit at Catholic University)

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 6:06 pm

    Amen! Newt says it all.

Charges of anti-Muslim discrimination at Catholic University in D.C. has presidential candidate Newt Gingrich up in arms.

“I look at the things that are going on in this country that make no sense to me,” he said to a crowd of about 250 South Carolinians gathered at a pig roast fundraiser organized by the Myrtle Beach Tea Party. “We now have a lawsuit apparently by some Muslim students at Catholic University who are offended being at a Catholic university. Now my first answer to them is ‘Fine, don’t go to a Catholic university.’”

His comments drew applause. Gingrich was referring to allegations that Catholic University of America is illegally discriminating against Muslim students by “denying them access to benefits that other student groups enjoy,” and, in particular, not providing space for daily prayers so that they have to pray in classrooms or campus chapels where they are surrounded by Catholic symbols. The charges are currently being reviewed by the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights.

I wonder how many Madrassas would hide the Koran, change their clothing, or take down images symbolic of Islam for a Christian student? Oh, never mind, Christians wouldn’t even be allowed to enroll for classes at a Muslim school.

And, the infiltration without assimilation continues, one little bit at a time. We may be behind the Brits in their “Muslim problem”, but we’re headed in the same direction.

U.S. Will Withhold Funds For U.N. Agency After Vote to Grant Membership to Palestinians

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 5:34 pm

When I saw this headline, I couldn’t believe Obama would cut funding to anything at the U.N. Then I read further and realized the U.S. government is required by law to cut funding if the Palestinians (aka Jordanians, Arabs, Iranians, Iraqis, etc. etc….given their own name so as to pretend they have some right to land in Israel) are given full membership in any U.N. body. Now, if we can just get a law on the books that completely cuts all funding to the worthless U.N. debate club, maybe we could actually pay down some of our national debt. We better wait a year for that law, though, or it will be wasted on Obama’s favorite solution for everything – more stimulus!

The United States will not pay $60 million to a U.N. cultural and educational agency after it voted Monday to accept the Palestinian mission as a full member, triggering a U.S. requirement to cut off funds.

“We are not going to be able to continue contributing to the budget,” State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said. “Palestinian membership as a state in UNESCO triggers longstanding legislative restrictions which will compel the United States to refrain from making contributions to UNESCO.”

Washington is required by law to cut off funding to any U.N. agency if the Palestinian Liberation Organization is granted membership in any group at the international body.

Obama Orders FDA to Reduce Drug Shortages (Executive Order)

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 3:44 pm

Has anyone seen Congress lately, or is the government now run strictly by Executive Order? So much for coequal branches of government, and Congress holding the purse strings.

Acting once again without Congress, President Obama on Monday was directing the Food and Drug Administration to take steps to reduce drug shortages that administration officials say have placed patients at risk and led to price gouging.

The president signed an executive order — his fifth in a week — instructing the FDA to take action absent congressional approval.

More and more like a dictatorship every day.

Marxist Prof. to Protesters: Violence Only Avoidable if ‘1% Accept the Decisions of the 99%’

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 3:18 pm

A lesson in not sending your children to any U.S. or overseas “university indoctrination camps”. They will just come home with a lower IQ, and either spout Marxists or Socialists propaganda at you. Look at some of the pictures of the protesters with many thousands of dollars in student loans. It’s pretty obvious that a hard working kid just out of high school would have an easier time getting a job. Encourage your kids to get back to the trades. Nothing wrong with trade schools, and you’ll actually learn something other than how to bring about a violent revolution.

Words from the wise professor to the sheople occupying Wall Street:

Asked if the upcoming revolution can be non-violent, he parroted the party line of the demonstrators, who call themselves the 99 percent of Americans lined up against the “1 percent’’ with power and money.

He said violence could be avoided only if the “1 percent accept the decisions of the 99 percent,’’ which he predicted would never happen.

Basically, these professors want to make your children into Communists with the same violent philosophy as the Islamists. Hence, Iran’s fervent support for the little Marxist occupiers.

The professor is right about one thing, though. The 53% of us who actually pay taxes will never let them have their way.

Supercommittee Dems push for stimulus to be part of deficit deal

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:18 am

The super committee, set up to find more ways to cut the budget, is being pressured by the Democrat members of the committee to include more stimulus spending as part of the final deal. Perhaps someone could take the democrats aside and explain to them the meaning of spending CUTS. All Democrats know how to do is spend the country into oblivion.

Democrats on the congressional supercommittee this week presented Republicans with a plan to cut the deficit that included billions of dollars in stimulus spending, aides told The Hill.

In a private meeting of the deficit panel Tuesday, Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, presented a proposal backed by a majority of Democrats on the panel that includes trillions of dollars in tax increases. The revenue would partially cover stimulus spending for the economy, aides said.

Hey, voters! Trillions of dollars in new taxes. Is this the hope and change you wanted?

2.5 Million Iranian Students to Celebrate 1979 U.S. Hostage Crisis by Marching in Support of Occupy Wall Street

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 4:49 pm

You can tell the caliber of the mob in Zuccotti Park and elsewhere across the U.S., Canada, and Europe by the friends they attract. In addition to a growing number of hate filled antisemites, the mob is now being supported by Iranian students (many of them probably got their education in America) who are celebrating the American hostage crisis of 1979. The parents of these hippies must be so proud.

Some 2.5 million Iranian students are commemorating what they call a “National Day Against Global Arrogance” on November 4th by rallying in solidarity with the “oppressed and deprived” members of Occupy Wall Street. The day signifies the 1979 takeover of the former U.S. embassy in Tehran by Muslim students, who held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days.

Oh, the poor “oppressed and deprived” trust fund babies who CHOOSE to live like animals in a park. Hand me a tissue, the Marxist mob’s plight brings tears to my eyes. Not.

Vatican calls for global authority on economy, raps idolatry of the market

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 12:27 pm

Interesting. The Vatican is calling for a global financial system and a global public authority in response to the financial crisis. Perhaps they should read Revelation and Ezekiel a little more closely. Of course, since they put little stock in the Bible and rely on Papal infallibility for their traditions, that might not help at all. Will they be calling for a global religion next? Interesting times.

The Vatican called on Monday for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises. The document from the Vatican’s Justice and Peace department should please the “Occupy Wall Street” demonstrators and similar movements around the world who have protested against the economic downturn.

I wonder how Catholics feel about their supreme leader siding with the Occupy Wall Street crowd, which is also siding with the Communists and anarchists that have joined them? Next they’ll be nominating George Soros, the primary funder of the OWSies, to be the one global authority. Things are happening fast from a Biblical perspective.

Think I’m being a bit extreme in my interpretation of the Vatican’s comments? They’re also calling for a global “moral code”.

“The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence,” it said.

If it’s social, moral, and cultural coexistence they want, I guarantee the Muslim population isn’t going to go along, unless we’re all under Shariah Law. But, whatever it takes to have social and moral coexistence, right?

Parents Using Their Kids as Little Wall Street Occupiers

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:03 am

Liberals are all for “choice”, until it comes to their children. Then, they’re for indoctrination, and putting their children in danger. I cringe at the thought of these poor kids being subject to hippies having sex in the park, and throwing “F” bombs every chance they get. Is it any wonder our universities have such an easy time turning their children into anarchists and Marxists? If the children are the future, we’re in big trouble.

A group known as “Parents for Occupy Wall Street” organized a “kiddie” sleepover in Zuccotti Park this weekend, which brought young children into a highly politicized situation with serious safety concerns.

The organizer of the Occupy Parents’ group, Kirby Desmarais, told Mother Jones magazine that “the idea is to let parents have a voice in Occupy Wall Street, because normally they cannot be here and also be at home taking care of their families.”

Apparently some 68 families decided they were up for “braving chaos” and “endured cranks and street sweepers.”

But many people are asking question about this wisdom of bringing young children to spend the night in Zuccotti Park or attend protests.

Libyan Transitional Leader: Shariah Will be ‘Basic Source’ of all Law

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 2:03 pm

Isn’t that Arab Spring just great? If Michelle and Barrack weren’t so busy worrying about our fat (while eating hamburgers at every eating establishment they pass on the campaign trail), maybe they could worry a bit about women’s rights in the ever increasing number of Shariah compliant countries.

The transitional government leader Mustafa Abdul-Jalil set out a vision for the post-Gadhafi future with an Islamist tint, saying that Islamic Sharia law would be the “basic source” of legislation in the country and that existing laws that contradict the teachings of Islam would be nullified.

But, I thought the Arab Spring was about liberation and democracy?? I’m being sarcastic here.

Afghanistan to back Pakistan if wars with U.S.: Karzai

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:25 am

Wow. We really won some friends and influenced people in Afghanistan. I’m not saying the war wasn’t justified after 9/11, but it’s a good lesson in not trusting Islamists. No matter what you do for them, they’ll still chant “death to America” and follow through on that sentiment when the chips are down.

Afghanistan would support Pakistan in case of military conflict between Pakistan and the United States, Afghan President Hamid Karzai said in an interview to a private Pakistani TV channel broadcast on Saturday.

The remarks were in sharp contrast to recent tension between the two neighbors over cross-border raids, and Afghan accusations that Pakistan was involved in killing the chief Afghan peace envoy, former Afghan president Burhanuddin Rabbani, by a suicide bomber on September 20.

EU bank failures will crash Wall Street

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:15 am

Maybe the Occupy Wall Street mob should read a paper once in a while. They may get their wish of crashing Wall Street and the banks, but they’d be protesting the wrong country for the melt down.

A string of European bank collapses is dead ahead. And like the Arab Spring, they will trigger an economic disaster for American banks. Yes, coming soon says Martin Weiss in his “7 Major Advance Warnings,” which is “bound to have a life-changing impact on nearly all investors in the U.S. and around the globe.” His new Weiss Ratings warnings are the “most important” in a 40-year career. The stress on Wall Street banks will force them back to Congress for more bailouts. Warning eight: No new bailouts. That will push the economy into a deep recession.

The rest of the article is as nauseating as the B.O. factor in Zuccotti Park, so consider yourself warned if you read the whole article.

    Islamists win elections in Tunisia

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 8:47 am

Our President praised the, so called, “Arab Spring” as if it were a revolution of freedom and liberty for the Muslim people in the Middle East and beyond. Either he thinks Shariah Law and Islamic enslavement are a good idea, or he’s woefully misinformed 99% of the time. Perhaps both.

I wasn’t a big fan of George Bush’s economic policies, but at least he new what democracy was, and would have tried to spread true democracy, rather than encourage the takeover of Islamic governments by terrorist groups like the Muslim Brotherhood. If you’ve bought into the media’s spin regarding the MB, a little research should quickly change your mind. They are linked to several Islamic terrorist groups, most notably Al Qaeda. No wonder the current administration won’t even utter the words “War on Terror”, or Islam and terrorism in the same sentence. We’re entering scary times, folks.

Tunisians are electing a 217-seat assembly that will draft a constitution and appoint an interim government.

Former President Zinedine el-Abidine Ben Ali was overthrown nine months ago after mass demonstrations.

Islamist party Ennahda is expected to win the most votes, though it is not clear if it will gain a majority.

Mr Ben Ali fled Tunisia on 14 January amid the first of several mass uprisings across the Arab world.

Don’t believe the spin the MSM is peddling. The Islamist groups predicted to win a sizable influence in the government of Tunisia are NOT “moderates”. Hence the label “Islamists”.

    OWS anti-Americanism spreads to Tehran

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 7:44 am

Good job Owsies. Now, instead of Iranians protesting their own government as they did in the early days of Obama’s Presidency (which he ignored), they’ve joined the occupiers in chanting “down with Wall Street”, and “death to the U.S.A. and capitalism”. Nothing like encouraging the biggest threat we face today to hate us even more. I wonder if the OWS crowd knows that Iran has ICBM’s that can reach the EAST coast?

Iranian demonstrators gathered outside the Swiss embassy in Tehran Saturday, setting an Israeli flag on fire to show support for the ongoing Occupy Wall Street movement sweeping the U.S.

They carried signs that bore familiar slogans, including, “The end of Wall Street” and “We are the 99 percent.“ Chants included ”Death to capitalism“ and ”Death to U.S.”

Interesting that they show their solidarity with the New York mob by setting an Israeli flag on fire. I hope and pray that Americans are waking up to the character and absence of morals of these people.

White House scrubs Islam from terrorism training manuals

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 6:33 am

Maybe if the White House lies enough, they can at least pretend they established their desired, socialist utopia under Obama. If our terrorism units don’t understand Islam, they’re fighting the War on Terror blind, and with their hands tied behind their backs. Islam is what feeds the Islamic terrorist’s blood lust. Just read the Koran, and it’s obvious. If you’re more ambitious than the current blissfully ignorant administration (or don’t want to hide the truth), read the Haddith as well, or peruse the Islamists’ “terrorist porn” websites. Why do you think the terrorists yell Allah hu Akbar just before they slaughter innocent civilians? Because they are doing it for Allah in the name of Islam, and they aren’t afraid to admit it!

President Obama Will Announce Today Complete Drawdown of US Troops in Iraq by Years End

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:17 pm

Could it be that Obama is actually going to try to fulfill at least one of his campaign promises before the 2012 election? Or, did the teleprompter just tell him to say this?

Sources tell ABC News that the president will announce today that US troops in Iraq will draw down to zero by the end of the year.

A White House official says that at approximately 11:30am today, President Obama convened a secure video conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to talk with him about this news.

I guess there wasn’t enough violence in the Arab world, so Obama needs to completely remove our presence from Iraq. After all, they can’t join the revolution if there are U.S. troops there to keep the peace. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for giving our troops some much needed R&R, but sending troops to Uganda at the expense of stability in Iraq is just plain…..something Obama would do.

Clinton urges reconciliation with Taliban in Afghanistan

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:08 pm

The Taliban was created by Iran to be the militant faction that would head the Islamic Caliphate in Afghanistan, yet our Secretary of State is currently in Afghanistan urging Karsai to continue the “reconciliation process” with these terrorists. Why did we fight this war? Apparently, it was so that our government could help Iran make a new Caliphate possible. Karsai is understandably frustrated by this U.S. policy, considering the recent assassinations within his administration. Americans should be equally as angry at a policy of appeasement and reconciliation with the very terrorists that have killed or maimed hundreds of our troops.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is in Afghanistan to encourage President Hamid Karzai to continue efforts to reconcile with the Taliban.

Mr Karzai has expressed frustration at the process after the assassinations of several key Afghan leaders.

US officials say Mrs Clinton also wants to convince Afghans that Washington is committed to a long-term relationship with their country.

The US is planning to withdraw troops and hand over security to the Afghans.

“She wants to signal US support for a secure and stable Afghanistan,” a US official told journalists travelling with Mrs Clinton.

Her visit to Afghanistan was not announced until she arrived in Kabul late on Wednesday.

    Brazen assaults

“She wants to emphasise that the United States remains committed to Afghan reconciliation and will support President Karzai in his efforts, recognising the difficulties that process has undergone since the assassination of [Burhanuddin] Rabbani,” the official added.

Burhanuddin Rabbani was a former Afghan president tasked with trying to reconcile the Taliban with Mr Karzai’s US-backed government. He was killed last month by a suicide bomber posing as a Taliban envoy.

Just maybe, when the person appointed to make this reconciliation work gets assassinated by the people he’s trying to make peace with, it might be advisable to RETHINK YOUR POLICY.

Obama administration has released dozens of Iranian fugitives inside the U.S.

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 6:01 pm

Is it any wonder Iran is attempting terrorist attacks on U.S. soil? Obama is releasing Iranians from custody with, I’m sure, even more contempt for the U.S., and ready to do their worst. The man will never understand that kissing up to terrorists doesn’t make them change their ways, it makes them aware of just how weak and unwilling to fight the war on terror you are. Oh, but let’s protest the workers on Wall Street instead of the weakling making the policies from the White House. Maybe the occupiers are counting on their mounds of refuse to repel any terrorist attacks on New York.

Through a Freedom of Information Act request, CNSNews.com has just reported that during fiscal years 2009 and 2010, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended and released “at least 28 Iranian nationals inside the United States.” As is all-too common with the federal government’s practice of ‘catch and release,’ they all became fugitives when they failed to show for their immigration court hearings.

Obama’s Homeland Security Department not only released the two dozen Iranians caught under their watch, but also two who had been detained while George Bush was president.

Twenty-one of the Iranian fugitives were originally caught in the border states of Texas, Arizona and California.

How many object lessons do we need before we get serious about sealing our borders??

Sudan President Vows New All-Islamic Constitution, Shariah-Based Legislation

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 12:14 pm

Sudan plans to move forward with an all-Islamic constitution and a legal system governed by Shariah law, the country’s president said Wednesday.

The announcement comes three months after neighboring South Sudan, largely Christian, declared its independence and split off from the predominantly Muslim north. Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir had said in December that his country would adopt an Islamic constitution if the south made such a move, Reuters reported, though many hoped he would not go through with it.

“Ninety eight percent of the people are Muslims and the new constitution will reflect this. The official religion will be Islam and Islamic law the main source [of the constitution],” Bashir said in a speech to students in Khartoum. “We call it a Muslim state.”

Politicians Make Threats to Keep Contaminate Wall Street going

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:51 am

According to Mayor Bloomberg, the owners of Zuccotti Park, where protesters have chosen to concentrate their odor, were threatened by lefty politicians who promised things would get worse for the owners if protesters were not allowed to continue sliming the park. I wonder how many Americans know about the backing these anarchists, revolutionaries, and Communists have within our own government. Not many, if the MSM can help it.

The Occupy Wall Street protest has managed to keep its base of operations in New York‘s Zuccotti Park despite the Mayor’s proclamation that they must leave, and it looks like political pressure played a decisive role.

Mayor Bloomberg said on his weekly radio show that the park’s owner, Brookfield Office Properties, “Got lots of calls from many elected officials threatening them and saying … ‘We’re going to make your life more difficult.’”

If it wasn’t clear enough before, it now appears obvious there are heavy-hitter politicos at work behind the scenes that want Occupy Wall Street to continue.

While there have been no further specifics yet on the “elected officials” Bloomberg mentioned, the occupiers are getting support from across the political, financial, and media worlds.

    Protesters clash with NYPD

The OWSies got the news this morning that they’d be able to continue squatting in what was once a public park. In celebration, they got some of the confrontation and violence they’ve been looking for. Riding their brooms down to the New York Stock Exchange, while trying to block police, and disobeying police orders, led to several arrests and complaints of police brutality. Straight from the progressive handbook – break the law, play the victim, rinse, and repeat.

A group of protesters headed south on Broadway toward the New York Stock Exchange, carrying their brooms. Police were taken off-guard, Sandberg reported. The group swelled quickly and wound up in a confrontation with police as they tried to gain access to Wall Street. The standoff occurred near Bowling Green as they turned left on Beaver Street.

Police urged protesters to stay out of the street and stay on the sidewalk.

Police scooters were shaped like a V and moved toward the protesters in the standoff. One man lost his balance, and was run over by a police scooter.

“He was just walking and the cop ran him over,” one witness said.

Protesters chanted “The whole world is watching” during the arrests……

Coptic Church Condemns Attack, Muslims Pelt Funeral Procession With Bricks

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 7:23 am

It isn’t enough for the savages in Egypt to kill the Christian minority, they have to throw bricks at the mourners as they try to collect their dead. Equally disturbing is the fact that our President supports this “revolution” by the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt issued a statement on October 10, expressing horror at the events of yesterday in Maspero, where 24 Copts were killed and over 200 and wounded. The church stressed that the Christian faith rejects violence. The church blasted the government for failing to find solutions to “problems that occur repeatedly and go unpunished.” The Church asked all Copts to fast continuously for three days starting tomorrow “in order to have peace in Egypt.”

Some interpreted this demand, which the church has made only three times in its long history, as a way to implore “God’s help for the Copts,” commented Coptic activist and writer Nader Shoukry.

In Cairo, thousands of Copts marched to attend the funeral of the victims of what they termed the “October 9 Military Massacre.” They congregated in front of the Coptic hospital where most of the dead and injured were transported, and which was attacked the night before by Muslims, who hurled bricks and Molotov Cocktails at the victims’ families.

    Dictator in Chief bypasses Congress

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 7:36 am

I guess this is more of that fundamental transformation we were promised. Obama, in his messianic wisdom, has done away with the silly notion that we have co-equal branches of government, and has instructed his advisers to push through stimulus projects without Congressional approval. Watch the video here.

I wonder where he thinks he’s going to get the money to fund his dictatorship?

Iranian terror plot in US foiled

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:45 am

If our leaders, especially our President, don’t wake up to the threat posed by Iran, we’ll be experiencing first hand what Israelis deal with every day.

FBI and DEA agents have disrupted a plot to commit a “significant terrorist act in the United States” tied to Iran, federal officials told ABC News today.

The officials said the plot included the assassination of the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, Adel Al-Jubeir, with a bomb and subsequent bomb attacks on the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington, D.C.

Bombings of the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Buenos Aires, Argentina, were also discussed, according to the U.S. officials.

The stunning allegations come against a backdrop of longstanding tensions between Iran and the United States and Saudi Arabia. In the last year, Saudi Arabia has attempted to build an anti-Iran alliance to push back against perceived aggression by Iran in the region.

It doesn’t get any more real than that.

Occupy Wall Street nothing more than a drunken orgie

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:49 am

This is the kind of people we’re dealing with….not the 99% or even close. The event should be named “celebrate perversity”.

Among the banners and flags are now discarded packets of condoms, cigarettes and bottles of spirits, while naked youngsters happily get together with just sleeping bags covering their modesty.

A box of free condoms is kept in the main area where protesters are camping. In one shocking picture, a man can be seen defecating on a police car.

‘I got warrants. I’m running from the law,’ a 24-year-old man from Stamford, Connecticut, told the New York Post. ‘I’m not even supposed to be here, but it’s as good a spot as any to hide.’

Protesters said the site smells like a sewer and the free condoms have given visions of what the Woodstock festival was like. But many have come down for the huge amount of food donated.

And guess who’s funding the protests and providing that free food, free condoms, and in some cases a salary for those who responded to a craig’s list ad for paid protesters? You can probably guess – George Soros, the Tides foundation, and unions. Can Nancy Pelosi smell the astroturf? No she’s too busy whining about the Tea Party.

    Protesters Foul New York City

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 8:30 am

Protesters in NYC have been captured on film defecating on NYPD squad cars. They’ve so fouled the park where they are squatting, that the park owners say it’s reached unsanitary levels, and poses a health risk.

On top of their filth and stench, the “occupy stuff” crowd is hurting the economy in New York. These are the kind of thoughtless, self absorbed, lazy people we’re dealing with here. They don’t care about jobs, or they’d be looking for one instead of trying to spread disease in the streets of New York. It astonishes me that they think their methods will gain them any support from Middle America, or beyond. If anything, they are alienating themselves as a bunch of fringe jerks. The Tea Party (the 53%) gains support from a majority come election time, because they don’t conduct themselves this way.

Poll: Cain Up 20% Over Romney, Beating Obama

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:58 pm

It’s looking good for Herman Cain. We may actually have a true conservative to vote for this time around.

Zogby has just released a poll that is sure to stun many: Herman Cain is not only the frontrunner for the GOP nomination, he’s leading Mitt Romney by 20 percentage points. But there’s more: he’s also beating President Obama 46%-44%.

Bloomberg has just about had enough of the squatters in his city

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:49 pm

I was wondering how long Mayor Bloomberg would be patient with the protesters in his city. It seems he’s about to reach his limit of anarchists and whiners who are costing his city millions and threatening the jobs of the very people they claim to be protesting for. Not only are the squatters creating unsanitary conditions in city parks, but their squatting in city jails, all at the tax payers expense. It amazes me that these people think shutting down banks will somehow help their economic position. Banks create a lot of jobs in New York, and fund a lot of businesses through loans. That’s more of that common sense and critical thinking, though. They don’t teach that at universities in America anymore. Sad.

New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg took to the airwaves again for his weekly radio show. In his last broadcast, as reported earlier on The Blaze, the New York mayor sounded as if he was getting concerned with the growing number of protesters.

This week he sounds downright annoyed.

    His biggest concern?

He believes the protests — should they spiral out of control — will hurt the city’s financial centers, having a ripple effect that would ultimately hurt the workers they claim to fight for.

“What they’re trying to do is take away the jobs of people working in the city, take away the tax base that we have,” Bloomberg said. “We’re not going to have money to pay our municipal employees or anything else.”

Francis Scott Piven indoctrinates her students – “be prepared for street battle”

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:27 pm

This video of Professor Francis Scott Piven is a must see, if you want to know where the “occupy something” protests are headed. They’ve already tried to provoke the NYPD, but that’s just the beginning, according to our wonderful University system. Piven predicts protests spreading and evolving into street battles. I wonder how much these students’ parents are paying to have them learn to be a modern day, 60′s style hippie with a violent streak? I think I’d be pulling my kids out of school, or defunding their expensive social experiment.

Watch the video at The Blaze. It’ll turn your stomach, but you should watch it.

Occupiers Cost New York 2 million dollars, and attack the police

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:10 pm

Here’s a clue for the protesters that want to occupy land for the purposes of throwing a hissy fit. When you plan a group attack on the police in New York City, it’s a battle you should and will lose. Maybe Mommy and Daddy tolerated your childish hatred, but the cops don’t have to. As the NYC Police Commissioner said, it’s common sense. Oh wait….that’s something the occupiers don’t have. If they get beat over the head enough, perhaps they’ll learn it. Who raised these spoiled babies anyway?

New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly made some stunning revelations on Thursday regarding videos that surfaced on YouTube Wednesday night showing police beating back Wall St. protesters. According to him, the protesters actually planned to antagonize police, even instituting a “countdown” before they “charged” officers.

“What they did is they counted. They actually had a countdown — 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 — they grouped together, they joined arms and they charged the police. They attacked the police. They wanted to get into Wall Street, they wanted to occupy Wall Street,” Kelly told reporters.

“These people wanted to have confrontation with the police for whatever reason. Somehow, I guess it works to their purposes,” he added. He also promised such protesters would be “met with force when they do that,“ which he called ”just common sense.”

It’s the 60′s all over again, with a little 1920′s Marxism thrown in for good measure. I vote we make the protesters pay the two million dollars in extra expenses for the police in New York, instead of New York tax payers. I think it’s their fair share.

NATO Helping Cause Humanitarian Crisis in Libya

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 1:01 pm

Where are all the anti-war progressives now. Under George Bush we heard wild accusations of hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths in Iraq. The Left was frothing at the mouth about the “unjust war”. Now we have crudely armed rebels wiping out civilians right and left in Libya, and what do we hear from the progressives? Crickets. They’re too busy throwing a fit on the Brooklyn Bridge and getting arrested.

The fighters of Libya’s National Transitional Council, the rebel movement turned temporary government, have launched what they say is a “final assault” on Sirte — hometown of ousted dictator Colonel Gaddafi and one of the last redoubts of his supporters.

Thousands of civilians have fled the town, but thousands more are trapped inside, unable or unwilling to leave. The Red Cross reports that conditions inside Sirte are deteriorating, with people dying in the main hospital due to shortages of medical supplies, fuel, and water; food is also said to be in short supply.

There are no reliable casualty figures, although pro-Gaddafi forces — not surprisingly — are reporting hundreds of civilian deaths caused by both NTC fighters and NATO airstrikes. While those claims can’t be verified, with both rebel forces bombarding the town for the past couple weeks it’s inconceivable that civilians are not being killed and injured.

No one can find a statistic for the civilian deaths, because it couldn’t be blamed on George Bush. They must protect dear leader at all costs.

Atheists’ Threats Lead Town to Remove Christian Cross From Water Tower

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 12:50 pm

If you’re uncomfortable with the site of a cross, and hate Christianity so much you’d sue an entire town, MOVE TO ANOTHER TOWN FULL OF ATHEISTS. This threatened lawsuit is the true intolerance.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation, America’s largest organization of atheists and agnostics, continues to use the legal system to purge the nation of references and symbols related to faith and religion (as we reported yesterday, the group will hold its 34th annual convention this weekend).

In one of the foundation’s latest assaults on faith, FFRF is demanding that the town of Whiteville, Tennessee, remove a cross that stands at the top of a local water tower. The atheist group first requested that the cross be taken down last December, citing a citizen who is uncomfortable with its presence.

SEIU and Anti-Capitalists recruiting Tea Party to wage economic terror

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 12:11 pm

Any Tea Party members out there who are being sucked into supporting the left’s anti-wall street protests are being duped. On the surface these socialists, anarchists, and communist protesters will try to appeal to your sense of justice with rants about those greedy few who caused our current economic crisis. But, they aren’t after the heads of the right people, they’re after you. There are certainly people at Fanny and Freddie, as well as in Congress, that should be thrown in jail for their corruption and negligence, but that isn’t who the raging “occupiers” are after. Listen to their own words. Never ever accept what the MSM is telling you to believe, and don’t listen to useful idiots. They are liars of the highest order. Read the following closely, watch the video, and remember it.
