The cartoon Jihad is still spreading, with Muslims in Iran, Pakistan, and New Zealand not wanting to miss out on the opportunity burn things down and destroy what civilization exists in their countries. This ridiculous jihad may turn out to be a good thing. I’ve heard several typically liberal news commentators actually expressing disgust at the Muslim overreaction and their calls for people to be “exterminated”, “slaughtered”, “massacred”, and “beheaded”. If a liberal can recognize something as evil, it must be bad.
In Pakistan, doctors came up with the brilliant idea of not treating their patients with medications made in Europe. Angry Muslims across Pakistan probably stopped taking their blood pressure medication. Not a good idea when you’re in the middle of a jihad.
The Pakistan Medical Association has vowed not to prescribe medicines from firms based in some European countries where controversial cartoons portraying the Prophet Mohammed were published, said Shahid Rao, the body’s general secretary for Punjab province. The association will boycott drugs from Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and France to protest the ‘blasphemous’ drawings, Rao said. ‘We have taken a unanimous decision and it will be immediately implemented in Pakistan,’ Rao told AFP. ‘Doctors in the country are very motivated on this issue,’ he said. ‘We would use alternate medicines in future till a public apology comes from these countries.’ Pharmacists have also vowed not to sell such medicines, Rao said. The association is advising patients against using medicines from the offending countries if they are mistakenly prescribed by doctors, he added.
Chenchnyan Muslims are taking part in the Jihad by banning humanitarian workers. I’m not sure how they think this is getting back at Europe.
Chechnya’s pro-Moscow government on Monday banned Danish humanitarian organizations from the shattered region in response to the publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad.
Further demonstrating how weak Islam really is in this world, Iran cancelled a sheep deal with New Zealand. I’m sure New Zealand will be devastated by the loss of that $92 million deal.
New Zealand became the latest nation unwillingly drawn in at the weekend, after two newspapers ran the cartoons in a move likely to cost the country its $NZ100 million ($A92 million) sheep trade with Iran.
. . . . . . .
More than 700 angry Muslims marched through Auckland yesterday, many wearing black arm bands. Pakistan Association of New Zealand president Naveed Hamid said his group had organized the march because Muslims wanted to make their hurt felt to the public. “Something the media has to understand (is that) somebody’s religion is not for insult,†he said.
In Iran protesters firebombed the Danish embassy. Confused about which jihad they were fighting in, they chanted “Death to America!” as they tried to break into the embassy.
A crowd of about 400 demonstrators threw petrol bombs at the Danish embassy in Tehran and tried to break into it on Monday night in a protest over the publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad.
To chants of “God is Greatest†and “Death to America†the crowd tried to break down the metal gate entrance to the embassy, which sits behind a high wall in a residential district of northern Tehran, a Reuters correspondent said.
And, in Afghanistan five people have now been killed over a cartoon, while the Austrian embassy was attacked in Tehran.
Get a load of this comment from someone in Afghanistan:
“They want to test our feelings,” protester Mawli Abdul Qahar Abu Israra told the BBC.
“They want to know whether Muslims are extremists or not. Death to them and to their newspapers,” he said.
I guess that answers that question.
