WA Senators Rally Behind Torched Abortion Clinic

Filed under: — Ben Rast @ 9:57 pm

Early on January 9, 2005, an abortion clinic (“reproductive health” clinic, according to the pro-abortion crowd) in Olympia, Washington burned. While the embers were still glowing, the FBI and ATF were on scene to investigate whether this fire was intentionally set. Why? Because of a federal law called the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Basically, this law states that no one can hinder a woman from entering an abort-… a “reproductive health” clinic to have her latest transgression suctioned from her womb. Today, I received an email from Senator Cantwell (apparently, sending an email to urge her to vote for the partial birth abortion ban makes me interested in “reproductive rights”, thereby earning myself a spot on her email list). Her letter to me read in part:

Knowing of your interest in reproductive rights, I wanted to update you on the actions Senator Murray and I have taken in response to this week’s fire at a reproductive heath clinic in Olympia. The results of preliminary investigations by local fire officials into the cause of this fire suggest it was caused by arson. Fortunately, no patients or clinic staff were injured in the fire. Attached is a letter Senator Murray and I sent to Attorney General Ashcroft asking him to ensure adequate resources to the investigation of this matter, and ensure that the on-going investigation should determine whether violations of the federal Freedom of Access to
Clinic Entrances Act have occurred.

Sincerely,

Maria Cantwell
United States Senator

Well, that’s a relief!! It wasn’t enough to have the FBI and ATF immediately on scene. Senators Cantwell and Murray have written a letter to Attorney General Ashcroft to ensure that he reeeeally gives this situation a good look-see. Cantwell and Murray don’t have a care in the world about all of God’s children that are slaughtered at this “reproductive health clinic.” But they’re devastated that someone would have the inhumanity to commit a property crime. Don’t get me wrong. I do not condone ANYONE burning, bombing, or vandalizing abortion clinics! However, where are the priorities here? Innocent people are killed in that building as a matter of business, and what shocks them is that someone hurt the STRUCTURE? What’s more, is that while nobody knows who set fire to this building or why, Cantwell and Murray are obviously anxious to hang this on the “fundies” (that’s what the tolerant progressives call born again Christians).

If our beloved senators have now taken a special interest in property crime, I’d like to know how many letters they’ve written to the Attorney General asking for him to look into the vandalism and arson of Christian churches across this state and this nation! I’d wager the answer is zero. I feel bad that some Olympians are having to drive a little further to murder their young, helpless children. I’m sure it’s a major inconvenience to them. But for our senators to assume their accusatory tone in an obvious pre-judgment of cause and motives reveals a lack of real priority setting for them. Fact: Last year, only one abortion clinic was intentionally torched in the United States. Fact: Nobody knows who set fire to this abortion clinic, nor do they know why. Fact: Dozens of Christian Churches in Washington State were vandalized last year. Who’s standing up for them?!

Indonesia wants foreign troops out, defends restrictions on tsunami aid

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 9:55 pm

Indonesia, a largely Muslim country, is telling the foreign troops, who are there helping tsunami victims, to get out. In fact, according to the President of Indonesia, the sooner the better. They’ve also placed many restrictions on aid workers there. One likely reason for the restrictions is a concern that Christian infidels might proselytize, or maybe that a Muslim might try to convert someone (in Islam this involves a sword). What it comes down to is, “Give us your money and get out of our country.”(Similar to the response from most in Iraq) That’s not the kind of thank you people really expect after giving millions of dollars in aid and billions of dollars in military equipment and help. So full of hate are those from the “Religion of Peace”, they would rather let their own people suffer and die than accept help from the West. Are any of you liberals out there getting the picture now? The next time a liberal suggests that the U.S. just needs to give poor nations more money, and help the Muslims more, remember this. Muslims don’t want our money, they just want us dead. I know it’s politically incorrect, but Surah 9:5 from the Koran makes that point very clear.

Indonesia told foreign troops helping tsunami victims to get out of the country soon and defended tough new restrictions on aid workers, while rich nations prepared to freeze Jakarta’s debt repayments.

Vice President Yusuf Kalla said foreign troops should leave tsunami-hit Aceh province on Sumatra island as soon as they finish their relief mission, staying no longer than three months.

“Three months are enough. In fact, the sooner the better,” Kalla was quoted by the state Antara news agency as saying.

The armed forces of Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States have all rushed task forces to Aceh in the wake of the December 26 disaster which killed at least 106,500 Indonesians out of a total of more than 159,000 deaths in Asia.

United Nations officials struggling to coordinate a massive relief operation have welcomed their participation, particularly to deliver aid to isolated coastlines accessible only by sea or air.

But their presence in Indonesian territory has been a sensitive issue for the world’s largest Muslim-populated nation which has traditionally kept foreign military, particularly the United States and Australia, at arm’s length.

Senator Hillary Clinton Blasts Bush Administration over Abortion

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 8:36 pm

Hillary is at it again. In addition to trying to hold the U.S. to international law and U.N. resolutions rather than our own constitution, Hitlery makes the absurd claim that abstinence doesn’t protect people from HIV/AIDS. Even the U.N. admits that condoms have a 20% failure rate when it comes to AIDS protection. Mrs. Clintoon probably also believes that sobriety doesn’t stop drunkenness.

She also mentions the U.N. population fund and decries Bush’s withdrawal of funds from that disgusting government body. This is the same institution that praises China for its population control efforts. Evidently Hillary agrees with China’s one child policy, and the practice of killing babies over that limit, as well as most female babies.

Why are liberals so obsessed with aborting babies? What makes them so apposed to the one option that is 100% effect in the prevention of pregnancy in the first place? It’s a combination of evil and an aversion to morality, clean living, or human decency.

Abortion crusader and New York Senator Hillary Clinton condemned US President George W. Bush Tuesday, claiming his withdrawal of funding from organizations that commit or promote abortions is harming women.

Speaking at an International Women’s Health Coalition-sponsored dinner, Clinton claimed that “reproductive health care and family planning service is a basic right,” and said this was based on decisions reached at the 1994 U.N. Population Conference in Cairo, as well as the 1995 U.N. women’s conference in Beijing, where Clinton gave a keynote address.

She argued that the Bush administration has failed to uphold the so-called reproductive rights of women, by withdrawing funding from abortion-supporting organizations such as the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Clinton also maintained that the President’s focus on abstinence in sex education was hampering efforts to halt the spread of HIV/AIDS, despite the UN’s own admission that condom failure rate for preventing HIV transmission may be as high as 20 percent.

Democrats Urging Anti-Bush Boycott of all Business

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 7:59 pm

To me, this is proof that most Democrats in the U.S. base their political beliefs and their actions on a complete ignorance of reality. The call for an inauguration day boycott of all businesses is growing among leftist groups, and spreading like wildfire across the internet. The moonbats believe that by hurting the economy, they will somehow be hurting Bush and proving a point. They’ll be proving a point alright! They’ll prove to the rest of America what many of us already knew – they don’t give a rat’s behind about their fellow man, and think only of themselves and their own agenda.

How many firing brain cells do you have to have to realize that boycotting business, restaurants, gas stations, etc. only hurts business owners and those who work for those businesses. Okay, so, they all stay home instead of going out to eat at a restaurant. The only people hurt in that case are the small business owner, and the waitress who was counting on her tips to feed her children. The federal budget stays the same, Congress keeps right on spending money, and the liberals look like heartless, anti-American, losers.

Those who were interviewed for this article tried to make their boycott sound like they were going after the big, evil, rich people. They emphasized this by putting “Big” in front of every victim on their boycott list – BIG Business, BIG Oil, etc. If BIG business owners didn’t have BIG businesses that depended on BIG oil, and all manner of other BIGS, where would the liberals get their jobs (those that work)? Tree hugging, protesting, and burning flags just don’t pay that well.

To all those thinking conservatives out there, spend your heart out on inauguration day. Help out your local businesses, buy gas from the Mom & Pop gas station down the street, and tip your waitress twice the usual amount. Conservatives, and especially Christians, aren’t afraid to actually DO something to help others. We don’t need to throw a tantrum, protest, and demand that government do it for us.

It’s Worse Than You Thought

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 4:19 pm

Jonathan V. Last explains in the Weekly Standard just how dishonest and incompetent the Thornburgh-Boccardi panel was in its comments as to the authenticity of the forged Bush national guard memos. Hidden in Appendix four of the report, and exposed in numerous ways and places in the weeks following the scandal, are the facts that would lead any thinking person to conclude that the memos were fakes – that is unless you are biased and don’t want to find that the memos were forged.

THE THORNBURGH-BOCCARDI PANEL makes a great show of its agnosticism about the question at the heart of the CBS scandal: Are the memos CBS presented authentic? On this score, the CBS Report is certain in its uncertainty: “The Panel was not able to reach a definitive conclusion as to the authenticity of the Killian documents.”

This statement was surely news-worthy. Before Monday, the forgery of the documents had been settled. Settled, that is, by a large cohort of experts, a bevy of testimony from the blogosphere, and, most definitively, by Dr. Joseph Newcomer.

On September 12, 2004, Newcomer, one of the fathers of modern electronic typesetting, published a 7,000 word essay about the fraudulent documents used by CBS. Newcomer’s conclusion was simple and unequivocal. “These documents,” he said after much explanation, “are modern forgeries.” So why did the Thornburgh-Boccardi panel turn their back on Newcomer and the rest of the body of expert opinion? What caused them to suspect that the documents might indeed be authentic?

APPENDIX 4 of the CBS Report details the panel’s lone inquiry into the technical aspects of the questionable memos using the services of Peter Tytell. The report gives nearly a full page of Tytell’s impressive qualifications, the most charming of which is that he was once referred to as a “famous typewriter detective” by CBS’s own Andy Rooney.

Like Newcomer, Tytell came to some quick conclusions. He said that even while watching the September 10 CBS Evening News broadcast at home, he knew “within
5 seconds” that something was wrong with the new 1972 Killian documents CBS was showcasing. . . . .

Evolutionists: Woops, we didn’t count on finding that fossil

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 3:29 pm

Have you ever noticed that evolutionists will find a tooth, or a little piece of skull, and from that determine what that animal looked like “millions” of years ago? Occasionally a discovery comes along that exposes the idiocy of calling this kind of guess work science. In this case the discovery of a mammal with a small dinosaur in its stomach foils the evolutionist’s claim that early mammals were tiny, timid creatures who only evolved into larger mammals later. Most of evolution is based on this kind of conjecture and made up stories, yet people continue to call it science and claim Christians are the ones who have blind faith. I highly recommend, for those who are interested in the scientific proofs for Intelligent Design and the problems inherent in evolutionary theory, that you read “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist”. It’s an excellent book that shows just how much blind faith is required to believe in evolution. There’s a link to get the book at amazon.com on the right menu bar.

(Hat tip Marlin)

Villagers digging in China’s rich fossil beds have uncovered the preserved remains of a tiny dinosaur in the belly of a mammal, a startling discovery for scientists who have long believed early mammals couldn’t possibly attack and eat a dinosaur.

Scientists say the animal’s last meal probably is the first proof that mammals hunted small dinosaurs some 130 million years ago. It contradicts conventional evolutionary theory that early mammals were timid, chipmunk-sized creatures that scurried in the looming shadow of the giant reptiles.

In this case, the mammal was about the size of a large cat, and the victim was a 5-inch “parrot dinosaur.”

A second mammal fossil found at the same site claims the distinction of being the largest early mammal ever found. It’s about the size of a modern dog, a breathtaking 20 times larger than most mammals living in the early Cretaceous Period. . . .

Read the rest of the article for a good chuckle. There’s nothing like a new discovery to make scientists spin some wild theories based on nothing.

No Kid Rock at Bush concert?

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 2:52 pm

It appears the Inauguration Committee may be getting the message about their plans to have the vile, f-word slinging, sex obsessed, Kid Rock perform at the inaugural concert. Less clear is whether their actually going to do something about it. By now President Bush must be aware of the controversy, so I’m not sure why the committee won’t come out with a straight answer as to whether “Kid Slime” is going to perform or not.

Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be appearing after all.

“He’s not performing,” a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND.

Committee spokeswoman Jill Willis would not comment on the decision not to have Kid Rock perform.

“We’re hoping to have our list of entertainers for inaugural events out sometime tomorrow, hopefully,” she said.

So, why was Kid Rock bumped?

“I don’t have a comment,” Willis told WND. “We’ll talk about the performers who will be performing after that information is released.” . . . . .

The rest of the article goes into more detail about the disgusting lyrics on his first album and those that followed. You might also remember that, at the Superbowl half-time show, Kid Rock wore a poncho made out of an American flag with a hole ripped in the middle and then threw the flag into the crowd at the end of the performance. More than a few veterans were angered by that stunt. It gets worse though. He also has naked women dance on stage whenever he can get away with it. That’s what we need at the inauguration. Maybe they’re trying to attract Kerry’s progressive voters.
