School Board OKs Sex-ed Program

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 6:18 pm

The Montgomery County public school system will now be teaching 10th graders how to put condoms on cucumbers, and 8th graders will learn that homosexuality is not only perfectly normal, but homosexual couples are the newest American Family.

Despite the objections of many parents, the schools in Montgomery County will be taking it upon themselves to teach their students that what their parents say about morality isn’t necessarily true. While parents are trying to teach their children Christian values, their teachers will be tearing those values down.

As if teaching the students how to use condoms wasn’t enough, one video even introduces them to food flavored condoms.

When I was in school we learned the difference between boys and girls during an anatomy class. Not so, today. Students, under this new program, will be told that gender identity is an internal sense of knowing whether you are male or female. Contrary to scientific fact, students will be told that “most experts in the field have concluded that sexual orientation is not a choice.”

The school board president insists that this new curriculum represents “mainstream thinking”. She obviously wasn’t paying attention when 11 states voted against homosexual marriage in the last election.

The Christian Hating Left

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 5:33 pm

This article from the Washington Times today sums up very well how dangerous and disgusting the Left’s hatred of thier fellow Americans on the right is becoming.

I assume the Republican National Committee is busy recording and archiving the idiotic statements coming out of national Democratic Party leaders and commentators. There is no doubt that the election has not only yielded a victory for the Republicans, but also a bumper crop of self-destructive vitriol and bitterness from the Democrats.

The opinion pages of the New York Times (that would be pages A-1- D 37 inclusive) have been running articles by prime cut liberals, the general themes of which have been that conservative Christians are the equivalent of Islamic terrorists and that the benighted provincials who voted for President Bush are simply hate-filled bigots who have no place in America.

This dominant sentiment of the Democratic Party elite — that scores of millions of Americans are categorically unacceptable as fellow countrymen — is evidence of a cancer in the soul of that party. These Democrats, quite expressly, are asserting that “Christers,” people who believe in the teachings of Jesus as described in the inerrant words of the Bible, are un-American, almost sub-human. Some of these Democrats would rather secede than stay in the same country with such people. If they were in the majority with no need to secede, what would they do? Their bigoted and absolutist view of religious people is at least a second cousin to the Nazi view of the Jews.

Reverend Jerry Falwell Planning an ‘Evangelical Revolution’

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 11:41 am

The Rev. Jerry Falwell is launching a new organization called The Faith and Values Coalition, which he describes as a “21st century resurrection of the Moral Majority.”

The new coalition will lobby for pro-life judicial appointments; a federal amendment barring same-sex marriage; and the election of another conservative president in 2008.

Falwell, now 71, said he would serve as national chairman of the new coalition for four years.

“Following the sweeping re-election of President Bush and a new generation of conservative lawmakers nationwide, a new organization, The Faith and Values Coalition (TFVC), has been launched,” Falwell announced Tuesday from his headquarters in Lynchburg, Va..

He said the group would capitalize on the momentum of the November 2 elections “to maintain an evangelical revolution of voters who will continue to go to the polls to ‘vote Christian.’”

Mathew Staver, founder and general counsel of the Orlando, Fla.-based Liberty Counsel, will serve as vice-chairman of The Faith and Values Coalition. Falwell’s son Jonathan
will serve as executive director. And theologian Dr. Tim LaHaye will serve as the board chairman.

U.N. urges Poland to ‘liberalize’ abortion law

Filed under: — Jennifer Rast @ 10:29 am

While thousands are dying in Sudan, the U.N. does nothing. When Palestinians blow themselves up taking innocent civilians in Israel with them, the U.N. does nothing. It seems they are too busy making sure enough abortions are being done in Poland, and fretting over a lack of homosexual education in Polish schools.

In a compliance review at the conclusion of its recent session, the U.N. Human Rights Commission cited Poland for having “restrictive” abortion laws.

The report, released Friday at the conclusion of a three-week winter session, said Poland’s state party “should liberalize its legislation and practice on abortion.”

A leading Polish pro-life group criticized the report as a “U.N. attack on the sovereignty of Poland.”

The report, which evaluates compliance with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, reiterated the panel’s “deep concern about restrictive abortion laws in Poland, which might incite women to seek unsafe, illegal abortions, with attendant risks to their life and health.”

If only there had been “deep concern” for those losing their lives in Sudan, or those who lost their lives by the hundreds of thousands in Iraq while they were getting rich off of the Oil for Food program.
